Welcome to our

Middle School

Programme

Continuing in the tradition of Taktse, the 8th Graders took the annual pilgrimage to Delhi for the Bookaroo Festival in the month of November. The Bookaroo trip is not just about books, authors, the Mughals and the Slave Dynasty but also about taking responsibility, being independent, self-discovery and lots and lots of learning and growth.

Our methods of teaching

The three-year Cambridge Checkpoint curriculum begins in grade six and culminates with the Checkpoint exams taken by the students at the end of grade eight. Guided Reading continues at a higher level and the
reading, science and math journals have been designed to develop inferential and analytical skills.

Taktse encourages all students to play on teams and to improve themselves. We believe that participation in sports teaches important skills such as teamwork, sportsmanship and the ability to win or lose with dignity and grace. We have also started an outdoor education program where students and teachers work together in ways that extend the learning beyond the walls of the classroom. Students compete in state educational events on a regular basis. Our small size ensures that all students get an opportunity to participate and to perform in front of a large audience.
